ABOUT PROJECT
Every child has a dream. Whether these children are labelled "underprivileged", "at risk" or "living in poverty", they lack the essentials to help them lead a better childhood with the necessary education.
We, as university students, understand that not everyone has an equal chance at obtaining a good education. Life struggles and family-related issues can often hind opportunities for others to thrive in their youth and succeed as adults later on in life.
Thus, we are collaborating with Small Changes Malaysia as we recognize the benefits, they bring to children by fostering high-skilled communities and cultivating critical thinkers through education empowerment.
Our goal is to raise a minimum of RM2,700 by the end of May to help them conduct Project Beanstalk. Help us make small changes to children’s lives so they can create big differences in the future.

ABOUT SMALL CHANGES

Small Changes is a youth-led volunteer organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities, with education being one of their main focuses. “Small Changes, Big Differences” is their slogan, as they believe that any small changes they make today, will eventually lead to big differences among the society.
Small Changes aims to be more than just an organization, but a platform for any person – be it an influential CEO or a still-struggling student – to empower the communities around them. With the keen awareness that many in Malaysia still lack sufficient access to education, they aim to bridge the gap between different pockets of societies by bringing them together through their projects.
Ultimately, their goal is to ensure underserved groups are both aware and equipped to grab opportunities available to them, while inculcating social consciousness in their volunteers. It is their hope that through volunteerism, they will be empowered to become compassionate leaders who advocate for others.
This year, Small Changes will be organizing three projects, namely Aspire to Inspire, Seed of Deeds and Project Beanstalk. Among these, Project Beanstalk strives to improve English literacy and inculcate the importance of education among orphans. By the end of the project, it is their vision that the beneficiaries feel comfortable communicating in English without the fear of judgment. As such, all the funds raised throughout this campaign will be fully donated to Small Changes to support the execution of Project Beanstalk.

Dream Influencer is a group of final year students majoring in International Financial Economics at UMS Faculty of Labuan International Campus. We feel grateful to have an opportunity to further our studies to a degree level. However, we do notice that not everyone has this opportunity and we are aware of the importance of education in bringing our nation forward. Thus, we started this fundraising campaign by collaborating with Small Changes, hoping that more children can gain the opportunity to learn through the activities organized by Small Changes.

PROJECT TIMELINE
每一个小孩都擁有一个伟大的梦想。 他們幻想著长大後能成为伟大的人物，有所成就可以保家衛國。然而，并非所有的小孩都足夠幸運，擁有著追求梦想的权力。世界上有一部份沒那麼幸運的孩子，从出生時就被標記著許許多多的負面標籤： “貧困” ，“被遺忘” 等等。 这些标签令他们输在人生起跑点上，也导致他们丧失了追求梦想的权利。
但是，在马来西亚， 还是有許多較幸运的孩子們被育幼院收养。在那里，他们得到了基本的照顧，也幫助了他們成長，令孩子們感受到了被關愛的感觉。
我们堅信教育是追求梦想的基石，是幫助孩子們邁向成功的墊腳石，也能令孩子們的生活更加完美。然而，现实是残酷的，並非所有人都能得到平等的教育機會。因此，我们举办了这次的眾籌活动，希望能尽我们所能，尽可能的帮助更多的孩子得到教育的机会，也能幫助这些孩子們邁向他們的梦想。此活动所有筹集的款項将全数捐予Small Changes以提供孩子們得到更好的教育服务。
SMALL CHANGES简介
SMALL CHANGES 是一个专注于给予青少年教育的青年组织。 “小改变，大变化”，Small Changes堅信每人做出一些小小的改变，能为社会带出很大的变化。
SMALL CHANGES希望他们不止于一个慈善机构，而是一個能提供青年们学会如何为社会付出的平台。
當年，他們发现馬來西亞還有许多公民缺乏教育机会為此，他们建立了此机构，希望通过活动能拉近他们与普通小孩们的距离，确保每个孩子都能得到一个同等的教育机会。
收益的除了孩子们，SMALL CHANGES也希望能通过所举办的活动，提高自愿者们的社会意识并增強他们的领导能力。
SMALL CHANGES在今年举办了三項附有教育性的活动, 分别为： SEEDS OF DEEDS, ASPIRE TO INSPIRE 和 PROJECT BEANSTALKS。PROJECT BEANSTALKS是为了提高孩子们的英文水平减及发扬教育的重要性。他们希望在活动结束后，孩子们能突破及減少沟通障碍并学会運用流利的英文與他人沟通。

RISKS AND CHALLENGES
- There is a possibility of unable to achieve the targeted fund. This is because society are unaware of the situation of lack of education among underprivileged children in Malaysia, especially orphan. However, one should know that education is vital for the economic to growth.
- Programme might be re-scheduled. Due to the Covid-19 situation, some of the activities might be re-scheduled to a later date. However, we promise to keep our follower updated about the new schedule (if occur) in our Facebook page.

We are grateful to have the chance to further our studies until Degree level. However, We are aware that many people out there does not get a chance to study, even in the primary level. After getting to know about Small Changes, a youth organization dedicated to empower underprivileged students and helping them to achieve their dream, we proposed this fundraising campaign, hoping to help those underprivileged children to achieve their dream by doing what we are capable of.

ABOUT PROJECT
Every child has a dream. Whether these children are labelled "underprivileged", "at risk" or "living in poverty", they lack the essentials to help them lead a better childhood with the necessary education.
